Introduction: The importance of peace of mind in our life increases as we are getting older. It becomes  one of the top goals to achieve. Peace of mind is very important in the world of stress. It develops your mental, physical and emotional life. Everyone wants to put the constant race beside and become free, relax, without worry for some moments. People get confused when spelling 'peace of mind.' Because of pronunciation, they often spell it 'piece of mind', but they mean inner peace. A person who understands the difference uses ' peace of mind ' to write and say. Younger, older, boy or girl, everyone wants peace of mind.




Major difference between a piece of mind and peace of mind: 

  

Often we notice people saying piece of mind or peace of mind. Questions may arise, is it peace of mind or piece of mind? We may get confused about the correctness. To clear your confusion, I'm going to tell you the characteristics that make them from each other.

           Define piece of mind: It is the choice of wrong words to describe your calm mind or relaxed mood. No doubt that it's a wrong combination of words. It would be best if you never used it. 'Piece of mind' is just a misspelt result of the phrase 'peace of mind.'



So the major difference is correctness. There is no such thing called 'piece of mind.' It changes the meanings completely. Though they pronounce the same spelling, we can see the difference.

Using the phrase 'piece of mind': 


There is no phrase called 'piece of mind.' It's a grammatical error. Piece of mind meaning is really nothing but it gets close to saying 'peace of mind', 'piece of your mind' and 'piece of my mind.' These phrases are used for different purposes. A piece of your mind is a way to express a negative or angry feeling for someone.

  • Long breathing: It's like an exercise for your inner body parts like lungs, heart, diaphragm etc. five long and deep breaths give calm instantly. Practice it daily; it is very useful.

  • Music: Kids also suffer from stress. Music is an excellent way to bring peace of mind to kids. Adults also get relief from pain and stress through enjoying music. 


 


  • Acceptance: Not every time everything happens as we wished. It is reality, and we have to accept it. Accepting or tolerating the tragedies and bad periods of life is hard. But when we learn to accept and keep going for goods, we may find peace. It is important to keep coping with uncertainty and understand what we can control it or not.

  • Cheerful mind:  A mindful or cheering up mind finds peace easily. During mindfulness, we remain fully present and detect five senses like touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell. This helps us to relax and feel warm.

  • Self-love: You need to like or accept yourself first before anything. The more you like yourself, the greater peace you get. It boosts up confidence and gets you at ease in any situation. Otherwise, you may face security and lose inner peace. 

  • Laughing: 'Laughter is the best medicine- it is well and properly said. The world becomes better when you see it through a funny eye. Laugh daily to release hormones to help us relax and avoid stress. You can do a regular laughing exercise.

  • Expressive: Say out clearly what you want to say. Don't get frightened. It's like being assertive and dependable on yourself.

  • Enjoy being alone: Yes, you need to get some time only for yourself. It's called the 'Me time.' It is necessary to become selfish and treat yourself with quality time.

  • Slow down yourself: In the world of hurriness, we often forget to live at our heart. There is no need to do all the tasks in a day. Try to slow down your daily life and enjoy life's beautiful moments. It helps to avoid unnecessary pressure.

  • Unconditional love: Try to love your dear ones without conditions. If you expect anything and unfortunately it does not meet, it can destroy peace. It builds up insecurity in life. That's why I love unconditionally to have peace of mind and a better life.

  • Removing guilt: It is a negative emotion that strangles a person. If you are guilty of your mistake, rectify it or feel sorry. Try to forgive yourself, and let's get to a new beginning.

  • Sleep: When we get tired, everything seems grumpy. Our body needs 8 hours of sleep to recharge. Things then become interesting and easy tto do.

  • Frolic: It means behaving playfully and not being rude. Loads of continuous work give us stress. It would help if you made time for your enjoyment. Try to add fun into rough situations where you don't enjoy. Let the child inside you come out and approach life with a playful attitude. 

  • Positive mindset: Who does not fail? Failure is the step of success. You can not learn or develop yourself without failing. This kind of attitude encourages bravery.

Please do not compare yourself: Everyone has their speciality. Ignoring others, follow yourself. We all have our paths to follow, learn and get through life. Don't take the stress of others sayings or doings. If you do compare yourself with others, then you lose peace of mind. 

  • Being yourself: It is an excellent way to bring peace of mind. Our inner ideals and behaviour should match each other. Do not fake yourself or try to behave as the world wants. They are being true to yourself and having contentment in heart and soul.
